Storybook Knits "Cats In Repose" Cardigan

Storybook Knits was a *highly* successful collection that was designed exclusively for the Home Shopping Network from the mind of designer Jamie Gries! 

Introduced in 1997, the label created one of a kind, highly collectible knitwear until 2008. Jamie was highly detailed in her whimsical designs, as well as a smart business woman who involved her loyal customers by asking them to submit their sweater design ideas. Each sweater was hand loomed using a ramie/cotton blend, then every embellishment was *hand sewn* on without any computerization!

Ok, LET’S GET INTO THIS WORK OF ART!

•Love the pastel color palette of this pale yellow beauty! There are cute cats resting on a cute chair and foot stool, surrounded by delicate floral patterns and beaded trim. 

•There is a beautiful lilac shawl collar adorned with a floral motif and trimmed with small beads!

•The lamp is also something pretty special - with metallic gold tassels hanging from its shade and the same metallic gold woven into the base.

•There are knotted gold buttons down the front, but the real closure is behind those buttons on the inside of the sweater.

•The back features a sweet solo cat sitting on a floral and striped rug!

To care for these special pieces, please consider the following advice directly from the HSN web site:

Please dry clean when the label instructs you to do so. For the experienced, you may hand or machine wash (gentle cycle) in mild detergent, then lay flat to dry. When almost 99% dry, throw in dryer to fluff with a fabric softener.

With proper care, the sweaters will not stretch or grow, and they will not shrink or fade from washing. They will stay new looking for years, thanks to the fine quality ramie cotton construction.
